Today, the group discussed about the character designs and estabilished the design aspects for the characters. We also began looking at the script for our film and how it can be blocked/story-boarded. I showed my design ideas to Alex and Jazzy and they both seemed pleased with some of my design ideas so far, but they have asked if I could do more designs based on the new criteria information they had given me which were:
Scarecrow Revamps:
-Don't hide his eyes! be more imaginative with them e.g. use buttons for eyes instead.
-Look and design a body structure like Jack from the film The Nightmare Before Christmas.
-Add features to his hair e.g. twigs and leaves.
-Keep they boyish look
-Arms and legs could be different legs and made of other objects e.g. twigs.
-Look and design arm and leg structure as used with the character Jack from the film Return To Oz.
-Scarecrow must have a hat.
The crow design has pretty much been decided so I can use this new criteria and begin designing alternative scarecrow designs.
Homework
-Think and design ideas of what the scarecrow crash would look like.
-Design more scarecrow design ideas.
-Think of an ending for the script.
On thursday 16th Feb, the group are having a quick briefing and I will be talking to Jae about the scarecrow character development as we need to decide on a finalized character together.
